Update #1

I'm going to try and recap the first part of our year, so be prepared for lots of pictures.

The Tooth Fairy Visits

Danny lost his first tooth last Friday.  He has been wiggling at it for almost a month.  Very excited that the tooth fairy left a two dollar bill, which he promptly added to his bank to save up for his next lego purchase.   Danny was shocked he didn't see the tooth fairy because "he sleeps with his eyes open".

Winter Park

Just got back from a week at Winter Park in Colorado.  Lots of snow.  Very spoiled by the house we stayed in.  Danny took two days of ski lessons and wants to do more!  Maura wasn't the biggest fan of the snow, but does love to eat it.  Aaron got four days of skiing in and I got to read a book by the fire.

Happy Birthday Maura!

Hard to believe our baby girl turned two this October.  We had a low key birthday with just the four of us for dinner (all of her favorites - steak, pasta and ice cream cake).  The next day we had a birthday party with family and friends at Deanna Rose's Farmstead.  Maura loved feeding the goats.

Since she is a big 2 year old now, figure an update is in order.  Recently started picking out her own clothes and "dressing-up". Loves her bead necklaces.  Wants to do everything "by self".  Maura has become more interested in princesses (Tangled and Sophia), but still loves playing with cars.  She would be happy outside all day long, most mornings she runs to the back door and asks to go outside.  One of her favorite things to do is to curl up in your lap to read a book; Ladybug Girl, Don't Let the Pigeon and Give Mouse Cookie books are some of her favorites.

Back to School

The kids started school at the beginning of September.  Danny is in Pre-K this year, three days a week.  Maura is going to Parent's Day Out, one day a week.  Danny loves school, hardly get a goodbye anymore when I drop him off.  Maura is not quite as sure, lots of tear shed the first couple of days.
